Inspired by Linda Nochlin’s famous essay, “Why are there no great women artists?”, this poster highlights women who succeeded in their artistic craft. Project admitted to BYU–Hawaii’s Undergraduate Research Conference in April 2026.
Process: I made myself some printed guides of lines and dots, so I would know where to poke holes into the canvas for the embroidery process. The poster itself was printed in black and white. It was fun to see it come to life with colored thread.
